Gone Gaming

I may cause a heart attack in those who know me, but lately I’ve been trying to teach myself some things about basic html, fiddling around with some of the tools in Word for doing nifty things with your documents, and generally teaching myself a few new things about basic computer “stuff”. Between this blog and a little side project I’m developing, I hope to learn a couple things here and there.

A lot of this stuff is fairly straightforward, although sometimes where to find the buttons can be a little obscure, and typing the whole “start this” and then “end this” stuff can be a little annoying.

At any rate, what I’m trying to do is make a Word format choose your own adventure. With actual dialogue choices and such, making it fairly open ended. I always liked the Lone Wolf series as a kid, and I’d like to make something as fun as those with more of a storytelling spin to it.

I think I’ll most likely release it as either a weekly or monthly thing, as I’m finding it takes a fairly long time to do well, and I’d like to have time to review and edit it. Not sure how to set up all the details, I’ll probably need to talk to people who know these things better than I do to make sure I get it right, but I’ll most likely have it up over at Alleged Entertainment.

I took last Saturday off, and I’ve decided to make that a regular thing. I might publish a link to something nifty, but nothing big. Which means that tomorrow I’ll be trying to keep up with the times, and I’ll see you all on Sunday.
